A pair of Georgetown College harriers have been named Mid-South Conference Runners of the Week, according to the conference.

Junior Luke Garnett finished 32nd in the 91-man Cedarville University Open to earn Mid-South Men's Runner of the Week.

Garnett finished the 8,000 meters with a time of 27 minutes and 24.64 seconds. The Cynthiana, Ky., native, led the Tigers to a fifth place finish in the seven-team event.

The weekly award is the first of the season for Garnett.

Junior Britney Chesser ran 18:52.31 over 5,000 meters to finish a team-best seventh in the Cedarville women's event to earn the MSC Women's Runner of the Week.

The Louisville native led three Lady Tigers -- running as individuals -- in the 62-woman field.

Chesser is a three time winner of the conference's weekly award.
