Georgetown College's Britney Chesser and Lindsey Wilson College's David Mutuse are the Mid-South Conference Cross Country Runners of the Week for the week ending Sept. 21.

Chesser won the Berea College Invitational with a time of 18 minutes and 52 seconds over the 5,000 meter course. The Louisville junior won against a field of 79 harriers to help the Lady Tigers to a second place team finish.

Chesser claims her second straight Mid-South Runner of the Week award.

Mutuse won the men's portion of the Berea Invitational with a time of 26:10 over the 8,000 meter course. The sophomore from Wote-Makueni, Kenya, led the Blue Raiders to a third place finish.

The conference honor is the first of the season for Mutuse.
