University of the Cumberlands' Josh Laughlin and Georgetown College's Britney Chesser are the Mid-South Conference Cross Country Runners of the Week for the week ending Sept. 14.

Laughlin finished 36th out of 238 harriers at the Memphis Twilight Classic in Memphis with a time of 26 minutes and 55.07 seconds over the 8,000 meter course. The senior from Bellbrook, Ohio, helped the Patriots finish 11th out of 29 teams in a field made up of predominately NCAA schools.

Chesser won the Centre College Invitational with a time of 19:24 over the 5,000 meter course. The Louisville junior outran the 76 participates to help the Lady Tigers to a second place team finish.
