Pikeville College sophomore Kate Forney has been named Mid-South Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week for the week ending Aug. 30.

The Westerville, Ohio, native, scored both goals to help lead the Bears to a 2-0 win over Midway College last week.

The win helped the Bears to start the season 1-0 for the first time in the program's history.
