Tom Opdenbrouw is leaving his position as Lindsey Wilson College softball coach to become assistant softball coach at Tennessee State University.

A national search will begin immediately to find Opdenbrouw's successor.

"Our goal is to hire the very best coach to lead our softball program," said Lindsey Wilson Athletics Director Willis Pooler. "We will begin immediately to find a coach that lives the Lindsey Wilson mission and is passionate about working with student-athletes while continuing to lead our softball program to national prominence.

"We would like to thank Coach Opdenbrouw for his years of service to Lindsey Wilson and wish him the very best at Tennessee State."

In his eight seasons at Lindsey Wilson, Opdenbrouw led the Blue Raiders to a pair of Mid-South Conference Tournament titles and three appearances in the NAIA Region XI Tournament. He concluded his Lindsey Wilson career with 205-187 record.
