Former University of the Cumberlands Men's Basketball player, Christian Simmons will be continuing his professional Basketball career overseas with BBC Bayreuth, a German based team in the ProA league of the European Basketball Circuit.

The 6'5" Guard/Forward played for the Patriots during the 2004-2006 seasons, averaging 4.3 points and 2.4 rebounds per game for Coach Don Butcher. Simmons helped the Patriots to a 43-18 record during that time, with a berth in the NAIA National tourney in the 2004-2005 season.

On July 17th, 2008, the 24-year old athletic swingmanwas signed to a 2-year contract with Bayreuth.  Simmons spent last season with BV Chemnitz 99 in ProA, where he averaged 9.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.5 assists in 23 games.  He had a season high of 20 points against on of the stronges ProA teams, Kaiserslautern.
