Georgetown and Campbellsville to take part in three day event, held at Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) University.
The 2008 Region XI Softball Tournament is set to begin this Wednesday, May 7 at Morgan Stadium at Associates Field on the campus of Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, Tennessee. Representing the Mid-South Conference will be Georgetown College and Campbellsville University.
Georgetown, the regular season champions of the MSC, have been given the third seed and will face #6 Union (Tenn.) University at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers will enter tomorrow's regional with a league-best record of 34-13. Campbellsville will enter the tournament as the fifth seed and will take on host Freed-Hardeman at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Campbellsville earned an automatic berth to the regional event after winning the 2008 Mid-South Conference Tournament. The Tigers currently sport a record of 30-20.
