The 2008 Region XI Baseball Tournament is set to begin this Tuesday, May 6th at Cumberland University in Lebanon, Tennessee. The University of the Cumberlands is the top seed in the four day event, while Campbellsville University has landed at the fifth seed.

The Cumberlands, regular season champions of the Mid-South, are currently ranked #6 in the NAIA and will enter the tournament with a record of 43-12. The Patriots will face #6 Martin Methodist at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Campbellsville won the 2008 Mid-South Conference Tournament as the third seed, and will enter regional play at 26-18. The Tigers will square off against #2 Trevecca at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
