LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) women's soccer is the favorite to win the Mid-South Conference regular season title in 2013, according to the MSC Preseason Coaches' Poll released on Wednesday by conference officials.

Lindsey Wilson -- the defending NAIA national champions -- received 81 voting points from the conference coaches, including nine of the 10 first-place votes. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own team.

Lindsey Wilson has captured at least a share of the conference's regular season title each of the last 13 seasons.

Cumberland (Tenn.) -- who won the MSC Tournament title last season and reached the national tournament's second round -- is projected to finish second after receiving 73 voting points and the final first-place vote.

Campbellsville (Ky.) is third in the voting with 62 voting points and Georgetown (Ky.) is fourth with 58 voting points. Bluefield is fifth in the poll after picking up 41 voting points and St. Catharine (Ky.) is sixth with 39 voting points.

Mid-South coaches predicted Shawnee State (Ohio) to finish seventh with 37 voting points and Cumberlands (Ky.) eighth with 26 voting points. Rio Grande (Ohio) and Pikeville (Ky.) complete the preseason poll with 24 and nine voting points respectively.

The 2013 women's soccer season begins later this month and concludes with the conference tournament beginning in early November at various campus sites. The tournament's semifinals and finals are scheduled for Nov. 14-15 in Columbia, Ky.
