LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) is the favorite to capture the Mid-South Conference men's soccer regular season title in 2013, according to the MSC Preseason Coaches' Poll released on Wednesday by conference officials.

The Blue Raiders received 81 voting points from the conference coaches, including nine of the 10 first-place votes. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own team.

Lindsey Wilson reached the national semifinals last season falling to eventual national champions Belhaven (Miss.) 1-0. Lindsey Wilson has won outright or shared a conference-record 10 Mid-South regular season titles.

Rio Grande (Ohio) is second in the poll with 73 voting points and the final first-place vote. The RedStorm captured their second regular season crown last season and reached the national tournament's second round.

Campbellsville (Ky.) in third in the preseason poll with 60 voting points followed by Cumberlands (Ky.) in fourth with 56 voting points. Cumberland (Tenn.) is projected fifth with 55 voting points and Shawnee State (Ohio) is sixth with 34 voting points.

Bluefield (Va.) is predicted to finish seventh with 33 voting points followed by Georgetown (Ky.) in eighth with 24 voting points. St. Catharine (Ky.) and Pikeville (Ky.) complete the poll with 23 and 11 voting points respectively.

The 2013 men's soccer season begins later this month and concludes with the conference tournament beginning in early November at various campus sites. The tournament's semifinals and finals are scheduled for Nov. 14-15 in Columbia, Ky.
