The University of the Cumberlands have swept this week's Mid-South Conference Baseball Players of the Week. Trevor Urbanick has been named player of the week, while teammate Adam Blakey is the pitcher of the week.
Urbanick, a 6'1 senior left fielder from Conneautville, Pa., had a .675 batting average during the Patriots 3-0 week. He finished with five hits in eight at-bats, scoring three runs while driving in four. Urbanick also had five steals and one double.

Adam Blakey is a 6'5 junior pitcher from Jamestown, Ky. He finished the week 2-0 in two starts, with wins over Notre Dame College (Oh.) and Asbury College (Ky.).
Against Notre Dame, Blakey threw a complete game shutout, allowing only five hits over seven innings while striking out four. During the Patriot's victory over Asbury, Blakey scattered eight hits and three runs over six innings of work, striking out five along the way. With the wins, Blakey improved to 5-0 on the season.
The University of the Cumberlands will be back in action this Wednesday, March 5 when they host Kentucky State.
