LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Shawnee State University's Brad Liston is the Mid-South Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the week ending Oct. 20, conference officials announced on Monday.

The weekly honor is Liston's second this season and second of his career.

Liston posted the fifth fastest time in Shawnee State history on Saturday at the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge to earn the conference award.

The Circleville, Ohio, junior finished fifth in the 352-man field with a time of 25 minutes and 7 seconds over the 8,000-meter course. Liston -- who was the fastest Shawnee State harrier at the event -- finished 18 seconds off the winning time.

Liston helped the No. 6-ranked Bears to a second-place finish in the 34-team event. Shawnee State posted 64 teams points after placing three runners in the top-10.

The next MSC Men's Runner of the Week award is scheduled to be announced on Monday, Oct. 29.
