KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- For the second straight week, Georgetown College, Lindsey Wilson College and Campbellsville University are the Mid-South Conference teams ranked in the NAIA Division I Men's Basketball Coaches' Top-25 Poll. The poll was released on Monday by NAIA officials.
Georgetown (15-3) is the top ranked MSC team tied at No. 7 with Azusa Pacific (Calif.) University. The pair each received 224 voting points from the national raters.
Lindsey Wilson (13-4) climbed three spots to No. 11 to earn its highest ranking of the season. The Blue Raiders received 189 voting points. Campbellsville (13-5) jumped two spots to No. 20 after receiving 102 voting points from the national raters.
University of Pikeville and University of the Cumberlands each received votes in the poll. The Bears picked up 21 voting points while the Patriots received one voting point.
Shorter (Ga.) University (17-0) moved into the top spot in the poll after receiving 280 voting points, including nine first-place votes. Oklahoma Baptist University (15-1) dropped one spot to No. 2 and Robert Morris (Ill.) University (16-1) remained at No. 3 in the poll.
The poll is voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each conference, the independents and unaffiliated groups. The next poll is scheduled to be announced on Monday, January 23.
