The University of the Cumberlands Cross Country Coach Floyd Stroud has been named the Mid-South Conference Women’s Cross Country Coach of the Year.

Stroud is a native of Williamsburg, KY and was graduated from the Cumberlands in 1974 with a B.S. in Business. In 1981 Stroud graduated from Union College with a M.A. in Administration-Education. He has been the head coach of the Cross Country and Track & Field teams since 1992.

The women had a strong season finishing 2^nd in the Mid-South Conference and 3^rd in Region XI.  Three Patriot Ladies made the All-Conference Team, two were named Scholar Athletes, and two participated in the NAIA National Meet.
