The University of the Cumberlands Cross Country Coach Floyd Stroud has been named the Mid-South Conference Women’s Cross Country Coach of the Year.
Stroud is a native of Williamsburg, KY and was graduated from the Cumberlands in 1974 with a B.S. in Business. In 1981 Stroud graduated from Union College with a M.A. in Administration-Education. He has been the head coach of the Cross Country and Track & Field teams since 1992.
The women had a strong season finishing 2nd in the Mid-South Conference and 3rd in Region XI. Three Patriot Ladies made the All-Conference Team, two were named Scholar Athletes, and two participated in the NAIA National Meet.
Coach Stroud received this honor in 2005 and now receives this honor again, voted on by the other coaches at the conference tournament, in 2007.
