Jackson TN, October 31, 2007 – Don Shaver, Athletic Director for Lambuth University, today announced his resignation from the University.
Mr. Shaver cited personal reasons and the desire to pursue other opportunities as the motivating factors in his resignation decision.
Dr. R. Fred Zuker, President of Lambuth University, said, “It is with deep regret that I accept Don’s resignation. His tenure with Lambuth, which began in 2004, has been marked by significant advances in the athletic programs of the University. His hard work and dedication resulted in the construction of the Lambuth Sports Hall of Fame room in the Athletic Center, providing Lambuth fans with a beautiful and much needed place to enjoy the indoor athletic events Lambuth has to offer. Additionally, Lambuth enjoyed its first NAIA championship win in Women’s Basketball under his direction. We wish Don all the best in his future endeavors.”
Acting as interim Athletic Director for the University will be Dave McCulley (pictured below).

He will take on this responsibility in addition to his current position as Sports Information Director for the University. A search for a new Athletic Director will begin immediately.
Lambuth University is affiliated with the United Methodist church, and was founded in 1843.
