LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Three Mid-South Conference teams are among the Tachikara-NAIA Volleyball Coaches Preseason Poll, released by the NAIA on Tuesday.

MSC newcomer Shawnee State University and defending conference champion Georgetown College are ranked in the Top-25, while Campbellsville University is among teams receiving votes in the national poll.

Shawnee State is ranked No. 19 in the preseason poll after receiving 213 voting points from a national panel of coaches representing each conference and the independents in the NAIA.

The Bears finished 2009 with a 31-6 overall record reaching the NAIA National Tournament after winning the American Mideast Conference.

Georgetown received 143 voting points and is ranked No. 23 in the preseason poll.

The Tigers enter the 2010 season off the program's first national runner-up finish a season ago. Georgetown completed 2009 with a 45-4 record, including a sweep of the MSC regular season and tournament titles.

Campbellsville received 10 voting points as one of 23 teams outside the Top-25 to receive votes in the national poll.

Defending national champion Fresno Pacific (Calif.) University sits atop the poll with 529 voting points, including all 19 first-place votes. Concordia (Calif.) University, California Baptist University, Lee (Tenn.) University and Northwestern (Iowa) College completes the top-five.

The first regular season national poll is scheduled to be released on September 7.
