SILVIS, Ill. -- The University of the Cumberlands men's golf team slipped into a tie for 13th after posting a 323 team-total on Thursday at the NAIA National Championships at TPC Deere Run.

Cumberlands -- who made the 17-team cut -- concludes the tournament on Friday beginning at 8:24 a.m. CT with its final round.

Cumberlands' three-day team-total of 921 (299-299-323) is 25 shots off the lead held by co-leaders Oklahoma City University (293-299-304) and Malone (Ohio) University (299-293-304). Both teams set atop the leaderboard with 896s.

Cumberlands' Pierre Carlsson and Niclas Rigbrandt led the Patriots with a team-best 80s in the third round. Michael Burgin fired an 81 while Aaron Watkins and Curtis Mitchell carded an 82 and 87 respectively during a day where scores were high due to rain throughout the day.

With his third round 80, Carlsson dropped into a tie for 12th place overall with a three-round total of 222 (71-71-80). Burgin sits just inside the top-50 of the 156-man field in a tie for 49th with a 230 (77-72-81).

Watkins' 236 (79-75-82) and Rigbrandt's 237 (76-81-80) is tied for 86th and 92nd. Mitchell is tied for 140th with a 248 (75-86-87).

Georgetown College's Christian Heavens moved up into a tie for 99th following his 78 on Thursday. Heavens -- the conference medalist -- concluded his tournament with a 238 (80-80-78) after missing the cut reserved for the top 17 teams and individuals within the top-40.

Malone's Justin Lower leads the tournament by six strokes at four-under par 209 (68-70-71). His even-par 71 on Thursday tied for the low round of the day.

The tournament concludes on Friday at TPC Deere Run.
