GEORGETOWN, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson College leads the Mid-South Conference Women's Golf Championships after Monday's opening round played at Cherry Blossom Golf Club.

The Blue Raiders -- who shot a team-total of 318 -- lead University of the Cumberlands by seven strokes entering Tuesday's second and final round. Cumberlands shot a team-total of 325 over the 6,004 yard, par 72 course.

Campbellsville University is third following a 344, host Georgetown College is fourth with a 363 and St. Catharine College is fifth after a 427. Pikeville College failed to post a team score after one of its four players withdrew during Monday's round.

Lindsey Wilson senior Jessica Smith (39-37) and Cumberlands freshman McKinzie Price (38-38) lead the tournament following four-over par 76s. Smith and Price each carded two birdies on a day where the rain and cold temperatures played havoc on the golfers.

Lindsey Wilson seniors Krista Burton (39-39) and Cheslee Stone (40-38) are tied for third after carding 78s. Burton joined Smith and Price with two birdies in her round.

Cumberlands junior Emma Cutmore is fifth overall after an 81 (39-42).

The final round is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. ET at Cherry Blossom.
