     One of the career goals of Tim Wolz was to become the first coach in the history of the Mid-South Conference to win Coach of the Year in both men's and women's soccer. He reached that milestone this season when he received the honor for the men's St. Catharine College program to go along with the distinction for women's soccer he received at Cumberland College in 2002.

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Forty-six Mid-South Conference football student-athletes have been named 2014 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes, NAIA officials announced on Thursday.

In order to be nominated by an institution, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved at least junior academic status.

Learfield Sports Director's Cup standings

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) leads a quartet of Mid-South Conference schools in the second fall ranking of the Learfield Sports Director's Cup standings, National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics officials announced on Wednesday.

Lindsey Wilson is third in the standings following three top-10 finishes at NAIA national championships this fall. Lindsey Wilson currently has 217 points with one sport still remaining before the final fall standings are released on Dec. 24.

Women's Soccer - Wed, Dec 17, 2014

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson College women's soccer coach Drew Burwash has been named the 2014 National Soccer Coaches Association of America/FieldTurf NAIA Women's Soccer Coach of the Year, NSCAA officials announced on Wednesday.

Burwash guided the Blue Raiders to the NAIA national championship earlier this month in Orange Beach, Alabama -- the program's fourth national title.

Wrestling - Wed, Dec 17, 2014

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland University wrestling coach Todd Allen resigned Tuesday, effective immediately, as announced by Director of Athletics Ron Pavan. CU assistant coach Shaine Jaime will serve as interim coach for the rest of the season.

Allen was in his third season as head coach at Cumberland after leading the program to a sixth-place showing in the NAIA National Tournament in 2014, the best-ever finish for the program at the national tourney. The Bulldogs had three individuals earn All-America honors for the second straight year and Jake Williams earned the program's third national title, winning at 149.
