LEWISTON, Idaho – The Lindsey Wilson baseball team picked up the program's first-ever victory at the Avista-NAIA Baseball World Series as the Blue Raiders took down The Master's (Calif.) by a 7-1 margin on Friday afternoon at Harris Field.

The eighth-seeded Blue Raiders (43-23) now face top-seeded Faulkner (Ala.) on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. CT in a winner's bracket game. Lindsey Wilson and Faulkner played twice this year back in February with the Blue Raiders winning both games by 5-4 scores.

SILVIS, Ill. -- Cumberlands (Ky.) men's golf improved one spot over its final round on Friday to finish tied for ninth at the 2016 NAIA Men's Golf National Championships held at TPC Deere Run.

The Patriots concluded the tournament with a team-total 1,201 (295-308-301-297).

Daktronics-NAIA Men's Golf Scholar-Athletes

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Seven Mid-South Conference men's golfers earned Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors, NAIA officials announced on Friday.

In order to be nominated by an institution, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved at least junior academic status.

SILVIS, Ill. -- Cumberlands (Ky.) men's golf held its top-10 position on Thursday at the 2016 NAIA Men's Golf National Championships held at TPC Deere Run.

The Patriots shot a team-total 301 to remain in 10th place in the 30-team field heading into Friday's final round. Cumberlands owns a three-round total 904 (295-308-301).

SILVIS, Ill. -- Cumberlands (Ky.) men's golf shot a team-total 308 on Wednesday to slip to 10th at the 2016 NAIA Men's Golf National Championships held at TPC Deere Run.

The Patriots own a two-day total 603 (295-308) to sit 18 shots behind leader William Woods (Mo.). William Woods is first with a 585 (284-301) followed by British Columbia's 588 (299-289) and Oklahoma City's 589 (292-297).
